Epstein files renew focus on ties to Britain's Prince Andrew

Reading Time: 2 minutes

In a striking revelation, newly released documents from Jeffrey Epstein’s estate have once again placed Britain’s Prince Andrew under scrutiny for his association with the disgraced financier, confirming his presence on Epstein’s private jet during flights in the early 2000s, as Newsmax reports.

The documents, part of a larger release by House Oversight Committee Democrats, detail Prince Andrew’s travels on Epstein’s jet, alongside mentions of prominent figures like Bill Gates, Peter Thiel, and Elon Musk, while sparking political contention over the investigation’s scope.

The records, totaling over 8,500 pages, were made public by House Oversight Committee Democrats as the third batch since the committee subpoenaed Epstein’s files last month.

Prince Andrew’s travels documented

Among the key details, flight logs show Prince Andrew traveling from Teterboro, New Jersey, to Palm Beach, Florida, in May 2000.

A separate log indicates his name appearing again in May 2002, further linking him to Epstein’s private aircraft during that period.

Epstein, a convicted sex offender, was known for cultivating relationships with influential individuals, often hosting them on his properties or private jet.

High-profile names surface

Beyond Prince Andrew, the documents reference other notable figures, including tech mogul Elon Musk, whose name appeared in Epstein’s daily schedule for a potential trip to Little Saint James, Epstein’s private Caribbean island, in December 2014.

A specific note in the schedule read, “Reminder: Elon Musk to island Dec. 6 (is this still happening?).”

Similarly, entrepreneur Peter Thiel is mentioned as having scheduled meetings with Epstein, while Bill Gates is listed for a tentative breakfast event with him in 2014.

Political tensions emerge over release

The release of these files has not been without controversy, as political divides emerged over how the investigation is being conducted.

A GOP spokesperson criticized the Democrats, accusing them of “cherry-picking documents and politicizing this investigation,” while also alleging that certain records naming Democrat officials were withheld.

The same spokesperson dismissed the latest batch as “old news,” questioning the relevance of the information being shared.

Ongoing scrutiny continues

The repeated emergence of Prince Andrew’s name in connection with Epstein keeps historical allegations in the spotlight, even years after the financier’s death.

While political debates over the investigation’s handling persist, the focus remains on uncovering the truth behind Epstein’s relationships with high-profile individuals.

With each release, the complex web of connections grows clearer, yet the path to accountability remains a challenging and ongoing journey.
