Tucker Carlson uncovers alleged Trump shooter links to terror network

Reading Time: 2 minutes

Tucker Carlson has dropped a bombshell that’s got everyone talking about the near-fatal attack on Donald Trump in Butler, Pennsylvania. His latest investigation into the shooter, Thomas Crooks, hints at shadowy foreign influences that demand answers.

Carlson’s team released a 34-minute video dissecting the digital footprint of Crooks, the 20-year-old who came within an inch of killing Trump at a July 2024 rally, as reported by the Daily Mail. The FBI, frustratingly, still hasn’t pinned down a motive or confirmed if Crooks acted alone.

Delving into YouTube comments from 2019 to 2020, Carlson’s findings show Crooks shifting from a Trump supporter to a radical left-wing voice advocating violence. His interactions with a user named ‘Willy_Tepes’ raise red flags about external encouragement toward deadly acts.

Disturbing Online Exchanges Fuel Speculation

On August 4, 2020, Tepes wrote to Crooks, “If a gun and a badge is all that is needed, then authority obviously comes from the barrel of a gun. We have more guns than they do ;)”

This chilling message, paired with Tepes’ alleged ties to the Nordic Resistance Movement, a State Department-designated terrorist group in Scandinavia, suggests a dangerous influence. Carlson points out that Tepes’ username also appears on foreign Antifa sites, adding layers of concern.

While the FBI remains silent on Tepes, Carlson notes that screenshots of the obscure account surfaced just days after the shooting. Clearly, someone knew about this connection, so why the stonewalling from federal investigators?

Shooter’s Radical Shift and Violent Ideas

By early 2020, Crooks’ online rhetoric took a dark turn, attacking Trump for “stupidity” and mocking supporters as a “cult.” His comments soon escalated to calls for “terrorism-style attacks” against the government.

Carlson uncovered a post where Crooks wrote about sneaking bombs into buildings and targeting key figures for assassination. Such explicit planning shows a mind already set on chaos long before that fateful day in Butler.

The shooter’s final online interactions with Tepes seem to mark the end of his digital trail. Could this mysterious figure have been the tipping point for Crooks’ deadly intent?

Questions Mount as FBI Stays Mum

FBI Director Kash Patel claims the agency has extensive data on Crooks, yet offers no specifics on motive or accomplices. His statement that Crooks had “limited online and in person interactions” feels like a dodge when Carlson’s evidence suggests otherwise.

Patel’s insistence that Crooks acted alone and shared no plans contradicts the violent exchanges Carlson’s team unearthed. If the Bureau knows about Tepes, as Carlson alleges, their silence only fuels distrust in an already skeptical public.

MAGA voices, including Tennessee Rep. Tim Burchett, are demanding transparency, with Burchett even floating theories of CIA manipulation. While such claims lack hard proof, they reflect a growing frustration with federal opacity on this case.

A Call for Truth Over Bureaucratic Hush

Carlson’s exposé, backed by a tip from an anonymous source accessing Crooks’ wiped accounts, paints a troubling picture of radicalization and possible foreign ties. This isn’t just about one shooter; it’s about whether our institutions are shielding us or themselves.

The public deserves to know if Tepes, quoted as saying, “There is no way we can avoid a war at this point, so you just better get used to the idea,” played a role in pushing Crooks over the edge. Brushing this under the rug won’t rebuild trust in a system already seen as out of touch.

Trump survived by a hair, but the questions surrounding this attack linger like a storm cloud. If we’re serious about safety and accountability, the FBI must stop hiding behind vague statements and confront these unsettling connections head-on.
