Danica Patrick set to join Trump on Air Force One for Kansas midterm rally

Reading Time: 3 minutes

Racing icon Danica Patrick is expected to join President Trump on Air Force One for Monday's Kansas rally, part of a midterm blitz packed with star power.

Breitbart News reported exclusively that the former NASCAR and IndyCar driver will fly with the president to Wichita, where Trump is slated to take the stage at 7:00 p.m. ET.

Patrick is the latest high-profile name to stand with Trump as Republicans fight to hold the House and Senate and win governorships with the midterm elections just 15 days away. It remains unclear whether she will join him on stage.

Over the last ten days the president has campaigned alongside a string of sports figures: Roger Clemens in Texas, Mike Tyson in New York, Jon Gruden and Jake Paul in Ohio, Floyd Mayweather in Arizona, and Todd Gurley in Georgia. The Kansas stop continues that pattern.

Patrick built her name as the first woman to win a major IndyCar series race. She has also become a visible backer of the Make America Healthy Again movement and spoke at a MAHA summit in Washington, D.C., last November.

Patrick's first vote went to Trump

Her political turn started before the 2024 election. Patrick hosted a town hall in North Carolina with then-vice presidential nominee JD Vance and said she had never cast a ballot until that cycle.

She put it plainly at the time.

"I just want to say I've never voted before, but this time around, I have to vote."

And added:

"It's that important."

Vance pressed the point on stage, asking if she was voting for the ticket. When the talk turned light about voting twice by bringing a friend, he answered that Republicans "vote legally, only one time."

That first-time choice still defines her public stance. In a later appearance she framed the decision without apology, telling Fox News that backing Trump felt like "the vote of reason" and "the rational, reasonable choice."

She boiled it down further:

"You don't have to go to dinner with him. You just have to like the country that you live in."

Voters who once sat out elections keep showing up for the same reason. Working-class shifts on jobs and trade have already forced Democrats to admit ground lost to Trump, and celebrity arrivals only widen the contrast.

Trump used star power heavily on the 2024 trail. He is doing it again now, pulling athletes and coaches into swing-state stops while the calendar shrinks.

Wichita fits a broader midterm push

Monday's rally sits inside a rapid series of appearances meant to lock in Republican majorities. The president has already rallied Republicans in Dallas and kept the pressure on Democratic targets elsewhere.

Patrick's seat on Air Force One adds a recognizable face to that effort. She is not a career activist. She is a driver who spent years focused on racing, then decided the stakes in 2024 were too high to stay home.

That same urgency now carries into the midterms. Vance has stayed on the trail defending the administration's record to Trump voters, including moments when a voter pressed him directly on gas prices and he pinned the pain on prior policy and Iran.

The coalition keeps looking the same: first-time voters, sports stars, and people who want results over lectures. Trump has also backed candidates in Youngstown and turned out crowds for Senate hopefuls in other states, treating every stop as part of one fight.

Patrick's travel plans fit that map. A former champion racer flying with the president to Kansas signals that high-profile support is still flowing toward the Republican side when control of Congress is on the line.

Stars who once stayed quiet are boarding the plane. Voters who once stayed home are casting ballots. That is how majorities get held.
