In a 2012 Huffington Post reflection, Lukasiak addressed rumors about her drinking, stating she was not a "huge drinker" but did enjoy an occasional cocktail with friends.
"If there's one thing I would go back and change about last season, it would have to be my jokes about drinking," Lukasiak told the Huffington Post. She emphasized that she was often criticized, from her decision to join the show to her parenting skills.
After a fight with Miller, Lukasiak and her daughter Chloe left the show following season four. The altercation occurred after Miller criticized Chloe's technique at Nationals.
Despite their departure, Lukasiak and Chloe made a brief reappearance in season seven and returned for "Dance Moms: The Reunion." Lukasiak joined the reunion via FaceTime.
