Fox News reported that Tom Emmer outlined his demands for immediate justice to be served against Michael Cohen in a letter sent to Attorney General Merrick Garland on Wednesday.
Emmer’s appeal follows multiple criminal referrals from various congressional committees asserting that Cohen has lied to Congress.
Notably, Cohen confessed in November 2018 to providing false information to the U.S. Senate Select Committee on Intelligence. Emmer emphasizes that these recurring lies further undermine Cohen's credibility, especially given his key role in the current trial against Trump, who has pleaded not guilty to the charges.
Emmer went on to describe Cohen as a habitual liar, stating that his previous deceptive actions toward Congress were corroborated by a witness during the New York v. Trump trial.
