Katie Miller leaves Musk to begin a podcast for moms

A career shift is underway for Katie Miller, wife of President Donald Trump's Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller.

According to the Daily Mail, Miller has announced her departure from her position as communications advisor to Elon Musk to launch her own podcast. "Today, I'm launching the Katie Miller Podcast," Miller declared in a video shared on social media. She acknowledged the saturated podcast market but highlighted a specific gap she aims to fill, noting the absence of media platforms dedicated to conservative working mothers like herself.

Miller, a mother of three young children - Mackenzie (4), Jackson (3), and Hudson (1) - explained her motivation for starting this new venture. "As a mom of three young kids, who eats healthy, goes to the gym, works full time, I know there isn't a podcast for women like myself," she said in her announcement.

Beyond Politics: A Platform for Diverse Conversations

The Katie Miller Podcast will not confine itself to political discussions, according to Miller's vision for the show. She has promised "real honest conversations" with "none of the bulls**t," suggesting a straightforward approach to engaging with her guests.

Miller has established a podcast studio in her living room, creating a comfortable environment for what she envisions as a wide-ranging program. She has indicated that her content will extend beyond politics to include discussions with "business leaders, celebrities, musicians, artists, and scientists."

The podcast has already secured some notable interviews. Miller has recorded conversations with Vice President JD Vance, podcaster Sage Steele, and boxing legend Mike Tyson, as reported by Axios. These initial guests suggest the diverse range of voices she intends to feature on her platform.

From White House to Media Entrepreneur

Miller brings extensive communications experience to her new role as podcast host. Her career trajectory includes significant positions in political communications before her most recent role with Elon Musk.

Before joining Musk's team, Miller accumulated substantial experience in Washington D.C. She served as press secretary for Senator Steve Daines and Senator Martha McSally, followed by work at the Department of Homeland Security. During Trump's first term, she worked as press secretary for then-Vice President Mike Pence.

Following Trump's reelection campaign, Miller joined the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) before transitioning to work full-time for Musk. This move placed her in an unusual position, as she continued working for Musk even after political tensions emerged between the billionaire and President Trump, while her husband Stephen remained one of Trump's key advisors.

The Launch and Distribution Strategy

Miller's podcast will reach audiences through multiple platforms, making accessibility a priority for her new venture. Episodes will be released weekly on Mondays and will be available across several major platforms.

Listeners can access the Katie Miller Podcast on YouTube, Spotify, Rumble, Apple Music, and Musk's X platform. This multi-platform approach ensures broad distribution and reflects Miller's media savvy in reaching diverse audience segments.

The announcement of her new podcast has already generated positive responses within her professional circle. Trump's Special Assistant and Communications Advisor Margo Martin publicly congratulated Miller on Instagram, indicating support from her connections in the Trump administration.

Maintaining Professional Relationships

Despite her departure from Musk's team, Miller appears to have maintained positive professional relationships with both the billionaire entrepreneur and the Trump administration. She expressed gratitude toward both in her statements about her career transition.

"I'm incredibly grateful to President Trump and Elon for the ability to enact lasting change," Miller told Axios. "We got a lot done... We reshaped how the federal bureaucracy views government spending." This acknowledgment of her previous work suggests she values the experience gained in both environments.

Miller's comments about Musk specifically indicate no ill will in their professional parting. "I hope Elon is a listener to the podcast and I hope to have him as a guest one day," she said, suggesting she would welcome the opportunity to interview her former employer.
